other people i disdain

#1 - people who want to use big words, and don't care if they are used correctly or not. example. this ass (ass status unrelated to his poor vocabulary, by the way) who presented in my international health class today who replaced the word "commemorate" with "commiserate". as in, erecting a statue to commiserate all the people who had died due to a certain disease world-wide. argh. also, he paused for a second to choose his words carefully. and that's what he came out with.

#2 - people who combine two legitimate words to create one nonsense word. example (also from class today). vaccinate + immunize = vaccinize? sigh. this is the top 8% of the population intellectually? we are soooo in trouble.
