and drunkeness ensued...
last night i went to my second ever queen's players show and, while i have little material for comparison, it was potentially the least cohesive and most inebriated chapter of the players in recent memory. i suspect most of the players (and the audience, for that matter) were hammered before the show started, resulting in a confusing series of disconnected scenes. don't get me wrong, i had fun. or at least... i think i did. the beer was shitty, but at least there was plenty of it. i do remember one guy drinking a shot of j.d. with a relish chaser. mmmm, tasty.
in other news, my thesis is creeping steadily towards completion & i should be able to submit by june 30th. and then move on july 2nd! woooo! terribly exciting. and at least a month overdue. i'm definitely looking forward to some hot fun in the summertime.
this just remembered! rob, in an advanced state of drunkeness, confusing jet with the white stripes. when i called him on it (admittedly, about a minute later) he was suitably ashamed & said he was hoping i wouldn't notice. oopsie.

sigh, yes, and you almost DIDN'T notice.
in my defense (as if i need any excuse by that point in the evening), this pitchfork review pretty much says everything you need to know about jet.

um, almost didn't notice means that i noticed. and i did i acknowledge the fact that we were both drunk. the funniest part to me was that you were so ashamed of your musical blunder that you didn't point out your mistake when you realized it. shame = funny.
