crazy in looooove.

i know, i know. i am definitely in the honeymoon stage here, i admit that. but boy, oh boy, am i digging toronto! my apartment is amazing, my neighborhood is fantastic, and i've met nothing but nice people. i don't know who is spreading rumours that everyone in toronto is mean. that's slander. i live on queen west, in the art & design district, right by the drake hotel. it's a neat place to walk around, 'cause there are super trendy galleries and boutiques right next door to junk stores, used appliance stores & car washes (there are 2 car washes on my block alone!). yummy little cafes & lots of interesting people to watch.

my week has been pretty chilled out. i've just been unpacking, wandering, shopping, and drinking beverages on patios. robin & i went to caju for dinner last night, a brazilian restaurant near my place. and thank god for summerlicious, which allowed us to gorge on steak & red snapper (complete with appetizers & passionfruit mousse for dessert) for only $20 each. i need to take advantage of that again before it ends next week. today i am meeting with my phd supervisor for the first time, and then having a little dinner party. yummmm.

oh! and i need to give a big shout out to robin for setting up my wireless router for me. thank the sweet heavens for nerds... god knows i love 'em & can't picture the world without 'em!!!
