my tongue is still tied
our trip to montreal provided another sharp, painful reminder that my OAC french days are so far in the past that they seem almost like a figment of my imagination. the fact that OAC hasn't even existed in 5 years is another sharp, painful reminder i suppose. although my spoken french is abysmal, i was pleased to discover that i could decipher enough of the metro newspaper to learn that kate hudson & chris robinson are getting divorced. go me. my second accomplishment: taking a few pictures that were not completely blurry. check it out.

a few of the only pics of notre-dame basilica that turned out. apparently, it's quite difficult to take good shots in such a huge space.
me in front of the biosphere, rob gazing up with admiration at the buckminsterfullerene-esque geodesic dome.
i propose that this is the most fun anyone ever had at the montreal botanical gardens. prove me wrong!! there's a third in the series of me as a caterpillar... if you're into that sort of thing. as an aside, the dismal state of the rose garden in montreal was quite a disappointment after the luxurious beauty of the roses at butchart gardens in victoria.
