ok, blue jays!
i am the first person to admit (proclaim, actually) that sports are boring. BUT, i have been known to attend sporting events on occasion. for example, a blue jays game earlier this week. why, you ask? well, lots of reasons!
- beer! where else are you going to spend $7.50 on a bottle of beer dumped into a plastic cup? you just know it's going to taste better when you pay twice as much. fun option: drinking it through a straw!
- carbs! hot dogs, nachos, cotton candy.... need i say more?
- vertigo! available only in toronto, induced by staring up at the CN tower. note: effect most pronounced after a few beers.
- the wave! at the game i went to, it went around 3 whole time! wowee!
- excitement! some guy stole home! can you believe it?! i wooed until i was hoarse.
- hatred! i got to boo, REALLY LOUD! everyone hates a-rod.
- romance! when the game got boring, we'd make up our own stats. for instance, the handsome alex rios enjoys sunsets, mystery novels, and spaghetti. how romantic! much more exciting than when he was drafted, what his stats are. yaaaaaawn.
- old people! like the little old guy who sat in the front row of the 500 section with his glove on one hand & keeping score with the other. awww. sadly, he missed his only chance when the perfect fly ball came at him.... and he was gloveless. we cried.

Glad you had such a raucous good time, sweetie. I'll have to take your advice and get my butt into one of those seats this summer.
