bit o' heaven!

when my mom went to michigan (michigan! michigan!) for a family reunion a few weeks ago, she asked if i wanted her to bring back anything from the states. aww, what a quaint gesture, i thought. i dragged one item of 'american' candy from the dusty corners of my memory, and asked my mom to bring me back a bit o' honey candy bar.

she, of course, brought back twelve.

at first, i was pretty surprised. what am i going to do with a dozen candy bars? twelve sweet, chewy, and delicious candy bars... answer? eat them and forget that i'm trying not to eat sugar right now. just put it right out of my mind.

which makes room for the thought: why didn't i bring one to work with me?? so foolish.
